Cutting

With both models sawn in two, I cut off a bit of the two lower points of each star. For the plates for bolting the stars to the foundation.

With a litte help...

Started to saw the green star in two. It will be cast in two halves and then welded together. After half an hour I realised i wasn't going to manage to saw through. But Lars G saved my day and came by to help me solve the problem. Many thanks Lars!

Busy

The first model is deliveried to Gunnar. He will pick up the wood for it and start working on it this week. Almost finished the second and third 1:1 model. For the silver star and the green star. I'm heading up to the foundry with both models on thursday.

The pink material is almost to soft to work with.

Cherry Blossom

I went to Hanemålaskolan to plan for the documentation of my Cherry Blossoms in the schools library. Just like the stars, these paintings are inspired by japanese origami.

Started working on model number two. This is for the wood star. I hope to have it finished this week so Gunnar can start sculpting in wood.
