Outside, Rinkabyholm

I spent monday in Stockholm to discuss the possibility of fabricating one of the stars in aluminium sheet. After talking to sheet metal wizards Stellan Egeland and Lars-Gunnar Olsson I'm still not sure if I should have them casted or fabricated.
I also had a chance to visit my friends at Gro Form who were participating at Nordic Gardens, Scandinavia's leading garden show, this weekend.

Tuesday I showed my progress with the project to the people from the day care center and Kalmar municipality. I made a mockup so we could discuss the composition. This is important not only from an artistic point of wiev byt also for safety reasons.

Chipping

Started sculpting star shapes. This is for the silver star. I'm thinking of having it cast in aluminium so I will probably have to make one more for the foundry. Note the small silver star. My 1:10 model. This is good practice.

Outlines

LG helped me to cut out the shape of the stars on the bandsaw. New ideas about composition, perhaps for my next project.
